Paseando poblados de la mar. Visita guiada semana santa marinera

Good Friday Valencia

Poblados Marítimos

On the morning of Holy Friday the Vía CRUCES takes place, with processions of the four congregations by El Cabanyal, Canyamelar and El Grao: Passion scenes and death of Christ are represented, with the protagonism of the biblical characters.

This is a very interesting day to get to know the Semana Santa Marinera and to walk through the neighborhoods of the Maritime Villages at the same time.

Scenes are represented as the “Encounter between Jesus Nazareno and the Virgin of Solitude” Instant, also collected with a strong realism in the novel Flor de Mayo, by the Valencian writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, who describes it in the place where today it is done.

With your official guide, you will learn more about this traditional Festival of Maritime Villages, which unifies families and neighbors in their brotherhoods, processions, meetings … participating as penitents, soldiers, or biblical characters.

An experience of the Maritime of Valencia, which combines art and religion, music gastronomy, an experience that you should not miss. During the morning simultaneous Encuentros, biblical scenes and some transfers to which we want to witness are represented.
